About Miss
Tourism World

For over three decades, we have united women from five continents as ambassadors of beauty, culture, and the transformative power of tourism.

Our Mission

"To crown women who are not only beautiful, but who carry the spirit of their nation — its landscapes, its people, its culture — and share it with the world."
John Singh — Founder & CEO, Miss Tourism World

The Founder

A Vision Born
in 1991

John Singh founded Miss Tourism World in 1991 with a singular vision: to create a pageant that placed tourism and cultural exchange at its heart. At a time when the world was opening up — borders dissolving, travel becoming accessible — he saw an opportunity to harness the power of beauty pageantry for something greater than a crown.

His belief was simple but profound: that a young woman who truly understands and loves her country — its history, its landscapes, its people — is the most powerful ambassador that tourism can have. Not a spokesperson, but a storyteller. Not a model, but a messenger.

Over 30 years later, that vision has grown into a global institution spanning five continents, with alumni who have gone on to careers in diplomacy, tourism, media, and public service across the world.

What We Stand For

Our Core Values

Global Unity

We believe that beauty transcends borders. Miss Tourism World unites women from every corner of the globe, celebrating the rich diversity of human culture and the shared spirit of exploration.

Purpose-Driven Beauty

Our contestants are not just representatives of their nations' beauty — they are ambassadors of tourism, culture, and positive change. Every crown carries a responsibility to inspire.

Excellence & Integrity

For over 30 years, Miss Tourism World has maintained the highest standards of pageantry, judging, and conduct — ensuring a fair, transparent, and prestigious competition for all.

Sisterhood

Beyond the competition, Miss Tourism World fosters a lifelong sisterhood. Contestants leave not just as title-holders, but as friends, collaborators, and global citizens.

Tourism & Culture

Beauty as a Bridge
Between Nations

Miss Tourism World is unique among international pageants in its explicit focus on tourism as a force for good. Each contestant is selected not only for her beauty and poise, but for her knowledge of and passion for her nation's tourism offering — its natural wonders, cultural heritage, cuisine, and hospitality.

During the Grand Final week, contestants participate in tourism forums, cultural exchange programmes, and media engagements designed to showcase their nations to a global audience. The winner carries this responsibility for a full year, attending international tourism events and serving as a genuine ambassador.

In this way, Miss Tourism World does what no travel brochure can — it puts a human face, a voice, and a story to the destinations of the world.
